About Us

The Dakahlia Liver Patient Care Association

The Dakahlia Liver Patients Care Association is a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organization founded in 1995 and obtained registration number 817 for the year 1997. The association is a founding member of the European Liver Patients Care Association (ELPA), which was founded in 2006 and was represented by its president, Professor Dr. Gamal Shiha, on its board of directors for two years until 2008. The association also participated in establishing the World Hepatitis Alliance (WHA), which includes all similar associations in the world and has an influential global presence.
