How is Hepatitis A Transmitted?
Hepatitis A infection is commonly spread from person to person through the consumption of food or drinks contaminated with the virus. This often occurs through undercooked food, such as salads and fruits eaten without peeling after being washed with contaminated water, or through contamination by infected food handlers.
Transmission can also occur through direct contact with an infected person or through drinking water contaminated with the virus.
