There are certain surgical procedures and medical practices that may lack adequate infection control measures, which can contribute to the transmission of Hepatitis C, such as:
- Dental extractions and treatments.
- Administering intravenous fluids.
- Reusing syringes for multiple patients.
- Transfusing contaminated blood.
- Tonsillectomies, hemorrhoid surgeries, and endoscopies.
- Incision and drainage of abscesses.
- Dialysis sessions.
